Stathis Kasderidis is a founding member of NOVOCAPTIS, its lead scientist and managing director. During 2009-2010 he has worked as business consultant for technology companies and as a trainer for agile methods on software development companies. He has more than 25 years experience in software development. He was a research scientist at the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH, Computational Vision & Robotics Lab, in Heraklion Greece during 2004-2009. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in King's College London during 2001-2004. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College, London and a Ph.D in Mathematics (Neural Networks) from King's College, London. He has started his executive M.B.A program in the International Hellenic University, Thessaloniki Greece, since January 2010. He has considerable experience in mathematical and computational modelling and he has also been in the past member of the Laboratory of Informatics for Neurosciences at the AHEPA general hospital of Thessaloniki, where as part of a team developed an expert system, for multiple sclerosis. His research interests are in Cognitive Science, Complex Systems, Neural Networks, Hybrid Systems, Computational Neuroscience, Distributed Systems, Intelligent Agents, Machine Learning and Time Series. He has considerable project management experience and he acted recently as Assistant Coordinator to the FP6 CogSys GNOSYS project. He was a visiting professor in the University of Crete lecturing at the Computer Science Department on Neural Networks and in the inter-departmental postgraduate program "Brain & Mind" of the same university. Currently is a visiting professor in the Technological and Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, lecturing on Artificial Intelligence.

Polychronis Kondaxakis is a founding member of NOVOCAPTIS and head of R&D. He was an associated researcher at the Institute of Computer Science, Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), Computational Vision and Robotics Laboratory, in Heraklion-Crete, during 2007-2009 where he participated in two major FP6 programs: GNOSYS, where he developed a multi-target DTMO (Detection and Tracking of Moving Objects) system and INDIGO, where he was involved in human-machine interaction research. He holds a B.Eng. in Robotics and Automated Manufacture from the University of Sussex (UK), an M.Sc. in Automation and Control from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK) and a Ph.D in Cybernetics from University of Reading (UK) on distributed localization algorithms mobile multi-robot systems. During the past fifteen years he has gained invaluable experience in the field of Robotics including: AI systems design, mobile robot navigation and tracking algorithms, machine learning algorithms, human-machine interaction techniques, robot hardware design and implementation, general electronic circuit and embedded system design. During the course of years has been involved in numerous successful electronic robotic hardware and software projects including the design and implementation of a tracked mobile robot. More recently, he designed and implemented four interactive tables with sensors and actuators, for POLYMECHANON S.A. an interactive edutainment park.

Panagiotis Vlagopoulos is a founding member, the chief engineer and head of the support department. His most recent position (2007-2009) was a H/W Design engineer in the Multimedia R&D department at Unibrain (www.unibrain.com), a spinoff consumer electronics company in the Intracom Group. During 2001-2007 he has worked in Intracom, a large Telecommunication & Electronics company, in a number of departments. He holds a B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering from University of Sussex, UK and an M.Sc. in Communication Systems Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, UK. Over the years he has gathered experience in the Hardware field including: Complex PCB Design, Embedded Multimedia Application System Design, MCU assembly programming, Instrument calibration, Product Development, EMI regulations, BOM & Cost optimization. At Unibrain, he was in charge of the entire H/W development phase of High-Definition set-top box multimedia players. The individual stages involved: System design, schematic entry, component management, PCB layout design, assembly, debugging and manufacturing preparation. The Set-top devices, depending on the version of the product, were capable of playing HD content directly to a T.V., connecting to a LAN/WLAN/internet, playing and recording DVB-T channels, interfacing USB devices and even docking and interfacing an iPod.
